Alphanumeric is hiring a BENCH SCIENTIST - Level 1 to work in Upper Providence, Collegeville, PA with our client of 20 years committed to improving lives through medical and pharmaceutical advancements.

This role is available through a 12 month duration contract. 
This role requires to be fully eligible to work in the USA.
The compensation offered for this role is a range between 35 and 40 USD/h

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Provide assay support to R&D groups. Develop, optimize, validate, and verify analytical methods based on enzymatic activity, physical measurements and/or immunological methodology with minimum supervision.
  • Apply state‐of‐the‐art automated systems to above tasks when appropriate, including use of computerized analytical equipment, robotics systems, and other automated analytical systems.
  • Accurately records experimental results in the electronic laboratory notebook system.
  • Prepare buffers and maintain laboratory equipment, facilities and assure that the function and operation of the laboratory comply with the applicable procedures (safety, SOPs, and administrative procedures).
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/MS degree in Biochemistry or related scientific field.
  • Two or more years of laboratory experience with knowledge in running biochemical and binding assays.
  • Experience in the design, set up, execution and analysis of enzymatic and binding assays is preferred.
  • Have experience of using at least one of following bioanalytical techniques: surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology, HTRF, ELISA or MSD, qPCR.
  • Knowledge of bioanalytical chemistry including statistical methods for the interpretation of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good team player with excellent people skills. Familiarity with computer data analysis (EXCEL, Word) is required.
