Alphanumeric is hiring WELDER ASSEMBLERS to work 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm) in Orlando, FL with an environmental-friendly energy innovator focused on sustainability.
Operate without supervision all types of welding, blending and stress relief equipment such as Gas Tungsten Arc and Metal Inert Gas. Operate without supervision specified metal fabrication tooling and equipment such as oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting arc torches.
2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Read, interpret and perform all operations as necessary per drawings and/or work instructions;
• General knowledge of all other shop processes;
• Multi-task in a fast paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision;
• Perform TPMs on equipment;
• All Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills as required for Welder/Assembler I Job Description;
• Install accessories on both Turbine & Combustion components;
• Perform major Turbine repairs (Class C);
• Perform major Combustion repairs (Class C);
• Ability to assist with on the job training, certification efforts and consistently meets production requirements;
• Perform other such duties as may be required.
• Demonstrate capability and aptitude to learn then teach various preheat and post-heat equipment and appropriate welding techniques using TIG and MIG.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or at least three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pass qualification test per AWS D17.1 and accepted by MHPS level 3 inspector.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
